my oldest graduated from kindergarten this past month and i wanted to do something special for his teachers. mrs. pulido is an amazing person – she showed so much love and support to the kids, teaching them not only academics but life lessons as well. she helped each one of them develop life skills that they will continue to grow from – all while making it a fun, nurturing environment. this year was ms. katie’s first teaching job and she was amazing. the kids loved the funny jokes she would tell or how she taught them to tie their shoes. everyday nicholas would have a story to tell about something that either mrs. pulido or ms. katie would have taught them. i am so very thankful for the foundation that each one of them helped build for nicholas and the others – the love for learning, a sense of responsibility, respecting each other and a love for God.
i decided what better way to say ‘thank you’ then to have each of the children tell mrs. pulido and ms. katie themselves. i photographed all 25 kindergarteners, which was an exhausting task on its own, and wrote out their answers to some of the questions i asked them. i loved all the responses i got from the kids – some very well thought out and others- well, what their friend said sounded like a good answer too. the girls were very eager to have their pictures taken and loved being in front of a camera, the boys -that was another story. thankfully, i was able to capture a few smiles from them but mostly just boys being boys!
here are a few pages from the albums i created:
