I adore the middle name Rose- this is Lilla Rose. Lilla is short for Lilac, so we of course used some soft purple tones throughout her newborn session. Lilla’s mom found the most perfect wrap to use for her baby’s newborn photos, the wrap is purple and has roses covering it- it couldn’t be any more perfect! Our goal for Lilla’s newborn session was to keep a classic/vintage vibe, to do this we chose to tie in lace and cotton elements such as the lace placed underneath the basket for some of the images. A sweet sentimental element Lilla’s parents added her newborn photos is Lilla’s great grandfather’s cowboy hat. Lilla’s family currently lives and works on the same farm that the great grandfather started so many years ago. I love hearing about family traditions passed down through generations!
Another little sentimental item we wanted to highlight for Lilla’s newborn session is her parents wedding rings. I thought it would be perfect to incorporate the wedding rings into a macro shot of Lilla’s feet. Not only does this highlight just how tiny newborn’s feet and toes are but it also made for a unique and thoughtful image. Macro’s are an amazing way to show size and detail which is why I utilize them in every newborn session.
