six! where did my little 6lb14oz baby go? it is hard to believe nicholas is 6 years old- wow how time flies. nicholas started talking about what he wanted to do for his 6th birthday party a few days after his 5th! he loves animals of all shapes and sizes so it seemed fitting to have a petting zoo party. the company brought all kinds of animals- goats, chickens, rabbits and a horse. nicholas wanted his friends to be able to play with his pet tortoises- franklin and lucy, so we got them out as well. if the party lasted any longer we would have no more grass in our backyard- i can’t believe how quickly 3 goats could tear through grass.
the kids had a great time taking turns riding the pony. i am very thankful for a patient pony- he did not care what was on his back as long as he was able to stop and eat my grass every once in a while.
i think nicholas was a little unsure of all the attention given to him when singing happy birthday – everyone crowded around to wish him a very happy birthday.
happy 6th birthday my sweet nicholas- i can’t wait to celebrate many, many more birthdays with you!
