For this nostalgic and super sweet Saginaw newborn photography session, his mom and I discussed so many beautiful ideas! Knowing that it was important to honor the recent passing of his grandfather, she brought the teddy bear that they had made out of one of his shirts. This is one of the sweetest ways to remember a loved one during a session that I have seen and it was an honor to get to photograph it! The bear matched perfectly with the earth tones theme that we wanted to stick to for this newborn session. Another adorable detail we included was little man wearing his great grandfathers old classic pocket watch for a few images. The hint of gold the pocket watch added to the image was a great contrast to the neutral tones throughout. Lastly, she had a necklace made with a cross and her grandmother’s fingerprint, which we also included in his session. I highly recommend bringing along a few sentimental and meaningful items to your newborn session. I love when my clients bring their own personal touch to the experience, especially when it holds so much meaning!

This sweet little guy gave us some great moments where he was wide awake and making eye contact with the camera! It is always a goal of mine to keep babies content through out their newborn sessions. Whether they are content awake or asleep is fine with me. It is always a welcome surprise when they make eye contact with the camera!
