Paytons dad played football for Texas Christian University so naturally, we had to have a TCU themed newborn session! With fun props like dad’s footall helmet, this session was unique and a fun challenge as the helmet photo needed to be done with a composite shot. Composite shots are used to ensure the safety of baby! In simple terms, a composite photo is when you stitch more than one image together. For the shot of Payton in the TCU helmet, we did not actually have her in the helmet, it was added in post production, fun little photographers trick! I was so happy when Paytons parents reached out to book their newborn session with me this time around, since I got to shoot Payton’s big sisters session a few years ago! I love the added touch of big sisters purple bow to match the theme.
Along with the TCU purple color scheme, we also did some images with neutral backgrounds with hints of blush pink. A traditional and organic look for newborn baby girls, this look is absolutely timeless and always a good choice. In the images of Payton with her family, I love the subtle coordination of the girls outfits both having minimalistic polka dots. Already matching outfits, these two girls are going to be the best of friends. It is so much fun growing up in a family with two sisters, behind all of the drama that comes along naturally, they are able to really be there for each other throughout the ups and downs of life. It truly is like having a built in best friend! Something I love seeing in my job is the bond between siblings and how sweet older siblings tend to be with the newest member of the family. Payton’s older sister was no exception, she did so well during this whole session.
